AN 8-PART SERIES BASED ON HAMLET BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Denmark Circus has necessarily gone virtual. Skip-jumping along Shakespeare’s text, Ophelia’s story is unveiled in short digestible episodes. She is a silks aerialist. Hamlet is a clown who has lost all his mirth. The two conspire in hopes of finding out what really happened to their former ringleader.

Hamlet & Ophelia is a love letter to live performance made during a time when performance could not be live. All contributing artists self-taped as individuals or within personal quarantine pods.
